The Phantom of the Opera screening was a huge success! I never anticipated such an amazing reception. I’m told there were over 200 people there. We received a standing ovation! It was one of the most incredible nights of my life. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen; the Kenworthy and Jamie Hill, the Phantom Ensemble, Al Gemberling and everyone who came out to see it! Hopefully we can do it again some time. For the last several months I’ve been diligently composing the score for a screening of the 1925 silent film Phantom of the Opera. The score will be played by a live 8 piece chamber orchestra. The screening will take place at the Kenworthy theater in downtown Moscow, ID on April 28. It’s been such an amazing experience writing the music for this thing. All in all it’s about 90 minutes of music! For a couple months, it completely took over my life – so much work! But I’m done with the writing now and rehearsals are coming along nicely. I’m very excited to see the whole thing in April!

I’m playing a solo acoustic show on March 25 at One World Cafe in Moscow with some amazing songwriters. Cameron McGill, Tara Howe, Corey Oglesby and I will all be playing short sets. Show starts at 7pm and is free.
